Our
Guest House |
|
We
renovated a 120 year old wine press building into a
country style guest house. It features two double rooms
which include king size beds, a bathroom, separate WC,
fully equipped living and dining room with a fireplace. It
can host up to four people for an unforgettable vacation
in the "Saar" region. Our guest house is suited
perfectly as a starting point for several excursions to
the area.
The “Obere Saartal” is considered to be one of the
most beautiful Wine- and River Valleys in Germany.
Vineyards and acreages alternate with forests along the
river. Trier,
which was the former residency of the roman emperor
Konstatin, one of the oldest and most historic cities of
Germany, is located only 25km from Wiltingen. The Region
provides a number of ancient treasures such as the roman
“Merkurtempel” in Tawern and the roman “Villa
Borg”, the seemingly medieval city of Saarburg, the
idyllic Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and the neighbouring
towns and villages in France. Furthermore our region
presents a number of recreational opportunities such as
hiking and cycling paths along the "Saar", water
sports, hang-gliding and last but not least – the
marvellous wine degustations.
